EMF Meter Reviews
75Which Meter is Best?
As a seasoned vet in the field of paranormal research I am often asked which EMF meter is the best to get the job done. This question seems to take up a great deal of the time I have when I do presentations as well so I thought why not sit down and review a few of the meters that I have had the privilege to work with and that would allow people to make their own educated choice as to which meter would serve their task better. I want to look at several of the meters that have dominated the field and a few that have not really been all that well noted but still get the job done. We have come a long way from using a simple compass to detect fluxes in electro magnetic fields. Let's take a peek at a few of these meters.
The Ghost Meter
This meter is basically a handheld variation of the cell sensor meter. The big difference is this meter has removed the probe allowing it to be utilized with one hand. One perk is the meter does not recognise subtle EMF emissions caused by the human body. This is vital in getting an accurate reading. One of the most useful details I found about this device is it has an audible signal as well as flashing LED lights. This makes it idea for use in dark locations. The sound can be toggled on and off so it is a very useful tool to carry. Some people are intrigued with a less useful but kind of cool feature with this meter. The color range for this thing is outrageous. I have seen blue, red, clear and I myself own a purple one. Over all the ghost meter is a very good choice.
The KII
The Kii meter has grown in popularity due in part to the use or one on the TV program Ghosthunters, with the TAPS team. The K2 is a very resourceful compact meter that really offers a lot in such a small package. It features easy to read LED indicators and a sleek body that fits snug in the hand of the user. What really makes the KI stand out is it's application in "spirit dowsing". When held out in front of the user and positioned where a spirit can see it the K2 acts as a reciprocal link for spirit communication. Simply ask a question and if the meter lights up you have an answer of yes. It is very amusing to see and really even I could not explain it away. The only real draw back to this meter is that the on button must be held down to make use of the meter. Some people have remedied this with a simple quarter while others have retrofitted a toggle switch into the side of the meter. Either way you go this is a great choice for any would be researcher.
The E.L.F. Zone Meter
This little fellow is one that does not see much publicity at all. It is compact and very handy. It uses a series of LEDs to give EMF readings. What gets confusing on this one is there is no way to get a definite reading because there is no real scale to go by. The ELF is one of the most insensitive meters on the market. Where other meters will read high fields the ELF may remain low or even fail to notice the field. I find that for the skeptic researcher this meter is right on the money. It takes a lot to set it off.
The Gauss Master
At one point this was the go to meter for all researchers in the field. It uses a scale measured by a needle so it is very easy to read and allows for one hand operation. The GM, as many ion the field began to call this little wonder also has a back light that makes it idea for dark application. It is very light and comfortable for the hand of the user. This meter kind of fail out of use when the KII took the market by storm, but it is still a pretty common meter to come across and for the price I highly recommend it.

The Kll is the first meter I ever used and I've had some amazing results with it! Great review.
Really interesting information and great reviews.
